On 12 October 2026, a multiplier event was held at the Faculty of Security Engineering of the University of Žilina as part of the SAFE FIREFIGHTER project.
The event brought together representatives of the District Directorate of the Fire and Rescue Corps in Žilina, the Rescue Brigade of the Fire and Rescue Corps in Žilina, the Secondary School of Fire Protection of the Ministry of the Interior of the Slovak Republic in Žilina, the Žilina municipal government, and members of the Volunteer Fire Brigade of the City of Žilina.
We presented the project and its objectives, alongside experiences gained during training courses and practical exercises hosted by project partners in the Czech Republic and Lithuania. We also highlighted the university’s role as one of the main project partners and introduced the upcoming training focused on the safe rescue of firefighters in winter mountain conditions.
The programme also featured podcast production and the use of social media as tools for sharing knowledge and disseminating project results.
